Pineapple Trends: The Food Lover's Gift Guide

Pineapple Trends: The Food Lover's Gift Guide

It's December and that time of year again when we're all scrambling to find the perfect gift for everyone on our list. I love gift-giving but there's nothing worse than not being able to find something you genuinely think the receiver will like (and spending money on a mediocre gift).

So I'm here to help you with all of the cooks and food lovers in your life! Here's my dream list of gifts to give and get:

S'well 'sparkling champagne' water bottle ($25 at Nordstrom) - Nothing motivates people to drink more water than a fancy water bottle. Plus, this one keeps your beverage cold (or hot).

Wood and copper salt cellar ($16 at West Elm) - Helps keep your salt accessible on the kitchen counter so you can grab a pinch whenever it's needed.

Boos maple cutting board ($49.95-115.95 at Williams Sonoma) - I love my giant Boos cutting board (it's the background of about 50% of my food photos). If you take good care of the wood it'll last forever.

Copper pineapples ($28.99 for 2 at Domino.com) - The pineapples pictured here are shot glasses but they come in a 12oz size too. These are completely unnecessary but awesome, and I love giving someone something they would NEVER buy for themselves.

Sturdy canvas apron ($79.99 at Williams Sonoma) - I like my aprons no-frills and ready for anything. Hedley & Bennett makes awesome ones too. Downside: for some reason good aprons cost an arm and a leg.

Yay! coaster set ($48 at Bauble Bar) - Save your table, use a coaster.

Oxo anniversary tea kettle ($79.99 at Bed Bath & Beyond) - The cork on the handle keeps it from getting hot, unlike those black plastic handles on most stovetop kettles. And it's pretty. Win-win.

Rona wine glass ($5.95 at CB2) - They're giant and they make you feel like Olivia Pope.

Global 6" chef's knife ($64.35 at Sointu - can also be found at Williams Sonoma, etc) - The best knives out there, I'm a Global fan for life. Supplement the chef's knife with a paring knife and a serrated bread knife and you're all set.

Food52 Genius Recipes ($21 at Amazon) - I doubt this requires an explanation. I love everything Food52 does.

Pomegranate phone case ($35 at Society6) - I'm waiting to upgrade to a iPhone 6s, but when I finally do it I'm getting myself a pomegranate case.

Roll bottle opener ($30 at Dwell) - Looks great on your bar cart, doubles as a napkin ring (I'm mostly kidding). Need I say more?

Christmas motif tea towel ($5.99 at H&M) - Holiday-appropriate and reasonably priced. I'd buy all my gifts at the H&M home store if I could.
